A school heating system failed in the on mode late Thursday before a long holiday weekend. By Tuesday when the staff returned the building was a 135 degree oven. Ceiling tiles throughout the facility were damaged and falling. All of the classroom animals were expired. Several thousands dollars of energy were wasted.
Solution:
JLD Systems, LTD designed a Silent Sentinel. This inexpensive instrument was installed in the facility and connected to several thermostat and other sensors. When the temperature is to high or too low it automatically calls the building engineering staff and advises them that the system is outside of normal operating parameters.
